The UFC has officially announced a series of exciting new matchups set to take place in November, bolstering an already stacked schedule. Headlining the UFC Qatar event on November 21st will be a pivotal flyweight contest between Amir Albazi and Alessandro Costa.
Flyweight Firepower and Bantamweight Battles
In another significant flyweight bout on November 21st, the surging Asu Almabayev will face the seasoned veteran Kyoji Horiguchi. Almabayev, with a professional record of 24-3-0, has been steadily climbing the ranks, while Horiguchi, a former champion in other promotions, brings a wealth of experience to the Octagon with a 36-6-0 record.
The bantamweight division also sees a compelling new addition as Aleksandre Topuria prepares to face Santiago Luna. Topuria, holding a 7-1-0 record, will look to continue his ascent against Luna, who enters the bout with an 8-1 record.
Welterweight Wars and Middleweight Clashes
The welterweight division will be on full display on November 21st, with Jake Matthews (23-8-0) set to take on Tahir Abdullayev. Matthews, a veteran of the division, will aim to leverage his experience against the less-established Abdullayev.
In a middleweight showdown, the powerful Jared Cannonier will face Ikram Aliskerov. Cannonier, a known knockout artist, will be tested by Aliskerov, who boasts an impressive 18-2-0 record and has shown a penchant for finishing fights.
Heavyweights and Featherweights Kick Off November
The action kicks off earlier in November, on the 7th, with a heavyweight bout between Gabriel Lorenco and Alvin Hines.
The featherweight division will also see action on November 7th, as Jose Delano (17-3-0) steps in to face the undefeated Murtazali Magomedov (11-0-0). Magomedov has finished all of his professional wins, making this a significant step up in competition for him.
The bantamweight division will feature Davey Grant (10-1-0) against Elijah Smith. Grant will be looking to add another win to his ledger against Smith, who has shown finishing ability with 70% of his wins coming before the final bell.
Two welterweight bouts round out the November 7th card. Jonny Parsons (9-3-0) will face Jose Souza, and Seokhyeon Ko will compete against Wellington Turman (18-8-0). Parsons, known for his striking power, will look to continue his winning ways, while Turman will aim to get back on track.
