UFC Fight Announcements: Big Bouts Set for Summer

The UFC has been busy behind the scenes, announcing a flurry of exciting matchups set to take place throughout the summer. Fight fans have plenty to look forward to, with a mix of established stars and rising contenders set to enter the Octagon.

July Heats Up

July will see two major events with significant bouts. On July 11th, former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker, currently ranked #10 in the division, will face the dangerous Nikita Krylov. Whittaker, with a professional record of 26-9, is looking to reassert his dominance, while Krylov aims to climb the ranks. The following week, on July 18th, a women's flyweight clash is set as Veronica Hardy (10-5-1) takes on Dione Barbosa (9-4-0). Hardy, coming off a win, will look to continue her momentum against the submission-savvy Barbosa.

August Stacked with Title Contenders

August is shaping up to be a massive month for the UFC. The highly anticipated lightweight showdown between champion Islam Makhachev and the surging Ian Machado Garry is set for August 15th. Makhachev, a dominant force in the lightweight division, faces a significant challenge in Garry, who has been making waves with his performances. Also on August 15th, Mackenzie Dern (16-5-0), a renowned submission specialist, will meet the tough Gillian Robertson. Dern, known for her grappling prowess, will be tested by Robertson's own dangerous ground game.

June Openers and Future Showdowns

The action kicks off on June 20th with three intriguing matchups. Featherweights Shane Collins and Otari Tanzilovi (10-1-0) will clash, as will Leon Shahbazyan (12-4-0) and Levan Chokheli (14-3-0) in the welterweight division. Additionally, Vinicius Oliveira (23-4-0) will face Andre Fili in a bantamweight contest. Later in the summer, on August 1st, Ludovit Klein (23-6-0) will go to battle with Tofiq Musayev (23-6-0) in a lightweight bout, and Mark Vologdin will face Josias Musasa (8-2-0) in the bantamweight division.
