UFC Books Exciting New Bouts for August and September

The Octagon is set to host a flurry of new matchups across two fight nights, with several intriguing contests booked for late August and early September. Get ready for a wave of action as the UFC continues to build its schedule.

August 22nd Showdown

The August 22nd card is shaping up to be a barnburner with several new bouts officially announced. In the lightweight division, MarQuel Mederos will face Mason Jones. Mederos, who had won his first three UFC fights before a draw with Chris Padilla, looks to get back into the win column against Jones, who has been on a strong run since returning to the promotion in 2025, most recently defeating Axel Sola. Also in the lightweight division, Chris Padilla will meet veteran Nasrat Haqparast. Padilla is currently riding an impressive unbeaten streak within the UFC, though his last outing resulted in a draw. Haqparast, looking to rebound from a recent knockout loss, aims to recapture the form that led to a five-fight win streak. The featherweight division will see Jamall Emmers take on Lerryan Douglas. Emmers is coming off two wins in 2025, while Douglas enters the bout on a six-fight winning streak, including a debut knockout. In another featherweight clash, Marcio Barbosa will face Ryan Kuse. Barbosa is looking to extend his winning streak to six after a first-round knockout in his last outing. Kuse, making his Octagon debut, boasts a 9-2 record with six knockouts. The heavyweight division will feature the debut of former NFL player Anthony Wint against Terrance Chatman. Wint earned his contract with a swift 34-second knockout and looks to make a statement in his first UFC appearance. Meanwhile, Gauge Young will face Stan Dorsainvil. Young is on a two-fight win streak, and Dorsainvil enters the fight undefeated at 5-0, with his last victory coming by submission. Finally, in a highly anticipated middleweight bout, former two-division ONE Championship king Reinier de Ridder will face Roman Dolidze. De Ridder, now ranked #15 in the middleweight division, will look to solidify his position against the dangerous Dolidze.

September 5th Fights

Looking ahead to September 5th, two exciting matchups have been added. In the lightweight division, Fares Ziam is set to battle Axel Sola. Both fighters are known for their finishing ability and this bout promises fireworks. The featherweight division will see Losene Keita face Muhammad Naimov. Keita, a former multi-time Oktagon champion, is looking for his first UFC win after a close split-decision loss in his debut. Naimov will be a tough test for the dynamic Keita. Additionally, Oumar Sy will step into the light heavyweight division to face Modestas Bukauskas. Sy holds a 12-2 professional record and will be looking to make a statement against the experienced Bukauskas.
