One of the best ways to vary training is to spend X hours a week with weight training. Spending just a few hours a week especially with friends and team mates can give you the extra confidence and that extra edge when getting ready for competition.
Strength plays an important part of grappling no matter what anyone tells you. Grapplers benefit from with explosive strength exercises but whatever you do, there is a mental benefit as well.
